As you may have noiticed on our page, we are taking part ing JK Accinni’s Book BLITZ! During certain days, the first two books of her series “Species Intervention” will be… FREE!!!! WOOO!!!! Let’s take find out a little about her book and the author herself!

Have you ever wondered why God does not punish the evil and depraved of our planet? Why does He tolerate the destructive bloodthirsty nature of Homo sapiens allowing them to rule over all creatures, abusing and exploiting according to their… whims? Why has science been unable to solve the vexing mystery of our ancestor, the Missing Link? How could one planet evolve such complex and divergent examples of biodiversity? Can you imagine God ever saying, “To Hell with this mess that is Earth?” The series “Species Intervention #6609” spans two hundred years, encompassing tender love between divergent species, political downfalls and violence of unspeakable order. It is an unfortunate tale of Armageddon and the remote possibility of redemption. In Baby, Netty is a naive teenage farm girl given in marriage to an older brutal opportunist disguised as a successful citizen during the years of Prohibition in Sussex County, New Jersey. After years of enslavement, Netty flees into the night from her rapist husband, traveling back to the farm worked by her parents, where she rescues an unfamiliar damaged creature she finds in a cave in the woods of her childhood, falling in love with the enigmatic creature she names Baby. Together they find happiness and fulfillment despite the changes to Netty’s body wrought by the proximity of the unusual creature. When a handsome Italian stranger comes into Netty’s life, complications ensue as she falls in love while trying to hide the bizarre and wondrous changes to her farm and her body. Netty, Baby and Wil strive to conquer obstacles thrown in their path by life, succeeding wildly until the heart-rending and astonishingly brutal climax to their story.

J. K. Accinni was born and raised in Sussex County before moving to Randolph, New Jersey, where she lived with her husband, five dogs and eight rabbits, all rescued and currently resides in Sarasota, Florida. Mrs. Accinni’s passion for wildlife conservation has led her all over the world, including three trips to Africa, where ten years ago she and her husband fell in love with a baby elephant named Wendi, that had been rescued by a wildlife group. That baby is the inspiration for the character Tobi, the elephant featured in her fourth book titled Hive.

The character of Caesar is inspired by a real life iconic tiger from Big Cat Habitat and Gulf Coast Sanctuary in Sarasota. A portion of the proceeds from her third book, Armageddon Cometh , will be donated to the sanctuary in support of the enormous expense required to house and feed the displaced wildlife in their care. Mrs. Accinni invites her readers to visit bigcathabitat.org to view the astounding facility and plan a visit with your family.

Interview with Author Bree Vanderland “The Arrival of Dawn”

First of all let me say that I am in personally alot of groups and co-admin with Bree and she is a great person and a friend to me. She also co-admins the blog with me:). Bree also floats around on Facebook alot. Check her out she is a awesome person inside and out and I am very excited to be able to do this interview with her.

To start with I would like to say Thank You Bree for letting me do this interview with you!

Her book is title “The Arrival of Dawn”

Bree can you tell everybody what genre your book is and who its suitable for?

The book is mind of a mix between Science Fiction, Fantasy and Paranormal (we will see more of that in book two).

I would say it’s more Young Adult and suitable for… I’ll go with 15. There’s a “glimpse” of my male lead nude, but there’s not much description.

Where did you come up with the title?

It took me forever to actually think if the title. I went back and forth about “The Arrival of Dawn” and various others. I eventually chose this one because… well, my main character is Dawn and there’s one part where she’s looking out into the sunrise. It also signifies a “new beginning,” which is what happened to my character.

The book title was strange. I thought about it constantly while writing it and then I was driving home from work early in the morning as the sun was rising. That’s how I came up with “The Arrival of Dawn.”

Can you tell me about you book without giving away any spoilers?

The book “The Arrival of Dawn” seems complicated to me and I wrote it! There’s a town called Ironbrough. You don’t know much about it until later in the series, but it’s like any other small town by appearances only. They made an agreement with the Roseians hundreds of years ago. They agreed to sacrifice one young girl every ten years in exchange for protection and help. The world was in disarray and the humans didn’t know what else to do. The Roseians, which is a purely female species, had magic that could help everyone. They can create water by moving particles in the air.

Dawn is the newest sacrifice. She’s waiting for her death that all the stories she was told predicted. Instead, she’s thrown into the world of the Roseians, but it’s different than the other girls. Dawn arrives in the middle of a war. Some of the Roseians didn’t want to help the humans anymore. They turned away from the “good” magical and used it for selfish reasons. Their skin has turned darker to mark which ones no longer followed the old ways. When Dawn arrives, she turns out to be a reincarnation of the previous queen. The Roseians loved her. She was kind, gentle and always had a level head, but not everyone loved her. Some are out to hurt her and Dawn doesn’t know who to trust.

What inspired this book?

I don’t really know what inspired the book. I know many people have inspired me to continue it, but the idea for it just hit me… hard, LOL.

What do you like to do in your free time when your not writing?

When I’m not writing, I love to read. I have a book “blog” page on Facebook that I absolutely love. I love the people on it as well. They’re truly amazing. I like hanging out with friends and then the people I consider family. It’s good to take a break every so often. My boyfriend has to remind me to take breaks.

What do you go to school for?

I do go to school. I’m on college and my major is Music Education.

Why did you choose to major in Music Education?

I’ve been playing the flute for many years and I love it. I can’t imagine my life without music and it’s made me a better person in so many ways. I know when I started high school, it was something completely different for me. I changed schools and I didn’t know anyone. I wouldn’t have known anyone if it wasn’t for music and marching band.

With your book collection which do you prefer Kindle, Kindle Fire, Nook, iPad, Paperback, or Hardback and Why?

I actually prefer hardback books. They don’t strain my eyes or are so flimsy, but I have a kindle and a kindle app on my phone. Who doesn’t have a single paperback in their collection?

How big is your personal ebook or book shelf and the most genre on it?

Oh goodness… I cannot even count how many books my ebook collection is. I know someone was mentioning it last night and I had about 400+ archived items and I don’t want to count the others.

What’s your hidden talent?

My hidden talent is so hidden that it’s hidden from me LOL.

If you could visit one place in the world where it would be and why?

I would love to go to Italy. I don’t know why, but I’ve always been fascinated with the history and views.

What type of animal do you perfer and do you have and how many?

I prefer cats! I have a bunch (don’t ask me to count them, they won’t stay still!). I’m not really a dog person unless it’s a calm, well trained dog.

What’s your fave food?

Favorite food is pizza! Or is it waffles…. hmmmm….

Whats your fave color?

Favorite color is purple or a light green! Especially if the two are side by side.

Bree can you tell your fans how to get in touch with you?

Fans can always reach me on my author page www.Facebook.com/Always.Bree

Sophie has enough problems in her life without Spencer turning her blood to fire, without his eyes freezing and burning her, without his hatred of her. Since his migration into the house next to hers, Sophia Valdez isn’t sure whether she wants to toss him under a bus or kiss that smirking mouth of his. But even as the temperature rises around them, leaping flames of passion, want and desire,
everything either has ever known will be
shattered by the lurking shadow hounding their every step, wanting revenge.

Spencer Rowth moves to the sleepy town of River Port with his mother and twelve year old sister, Suzy, to escape a deceitful father, an unfaithful girlfriend and a life crumbling much too fast for him to grapple onto only to be smacked upside the head by the last thing he wanted again. Sophie was everything he refused to want. Her temper, her wit, her laugh, her smile, the way her entire body goes up in flames under his hands are things he would rather slam a lid on and forget. Instead, he finds himself falling for the smart-mouth next door. But how long will he have before the evil chasing them catches up? How long before the very thing he never wanted becomes his only thread to sanity? And who is after them? What do they want and why do they want Spencer and Sophie dead?

Thanks for letting me do this interview with you on such short notice! First I want to say that “As The Rain Falls” is a terrific book. I have read it and would give it 10 stars if I was able. Congratulations on it:)
First of all thank you so much for all of your kind words and support.
Lets talk about your book alittle bit first:
Tell me about your book (although I have read it I want to see what you have to say about it)?
As The Rain Falls is a paranormal romance that starts off with a group of teenagers who have fell off their path of their true mission of The Floral Covenant. Lily the main character in this series  leads you to a world of unknown possibilities and shares with you her passion for life and love.
What inspired you to come up with this type of book and where did the thoughts come from? Did anything come from your real life events?
The type of book was simple for me because I am in love with all things paranormal but I wanted something original yet epic so I rewrote a 15 yr old story which includes my life expericences and put a little spin on it.
Tell me about your next book in the series “The Floral Covenant” and when will it be released?
Book two in The Floral Covenant As the Storm Changes, The Tide Rises. will be available by Feb.13 2013 it continues the story and includes a more detail explanation of all it takes to be a member of The Floral Covenant.
Now lets talk about you:
 for interview
What makes you want to be a great author?
What makes me want to be a great author well except for it to be the only thing I have ever wanted to do with my life, three simple reasons my children.
What inspires you to write the most?
My children and todays youth is what inspires me.  Knowing that one day my children will know if you believe hard enough anything is possible. Also so I know that no matter what as long as I write there will be someone there to read it.
Where do you want to see yourself with writing in the next 5 years?
I would love to believe in the next five years the first five books of the series will be published and who knows maybe a movie contract  that would be nice lol
Whats your fave color?
My favorite color is a deep red  like a Scarlet red
Whats your fave food?
My favorite food? New York style cheesecake

Interview with Lily From As The Rain Falls

222218_378811105543302_1640844211_nHello Lily,

Thanks for joining me in this interview and letting your fans know more about you and your character:)
It’s a pleasure having you here:)
How is it being in this great book?
I absolutely love it after 160 yrs as a member of The Floral Covenant it is so nice to be able to share my story
What did you think when the 1st day of school repeated it self?
At first with everything going on I barely noticed and then I remembered that Rose  had worn the same sweater twice so I checked in my diary and verified I was trapped in a time loop used by the Stone Covenant to prevent me from discovering their plan.
How was it not forming a relationship till the last-minute with Brandon?
We have had a very intimate relationship in the past and it always interfered with our mission, to be honest I thought I could Resist Brandon this time around but I was wrong.
How does it feel being The Princess for the Harvest Festival and your best friend Maggie being crowned Queen?
i was so happy for Maggie but to be honest I would of rather not won I am not one who likes to be the center of attention.

What did you think the first time that you, Maggie, and Rose messed with the earth’s elements?
The first time we combined our powers were at the beach house it seems that the fear that flowed through our veins let our powers seep out. Over the centuries I never met two girls that really got me and understood me like Rose and Maggie. Unfortuanitly our powers only activate 3 mths before our 18 birthdays so we are still trying to get the bugs out. Our powers are our own but they react differently depending on the elements and the ones who hold the powers.
When “The Stone Covenant” interfered with Homecoming what did you think was happening?
I was in a daze at first with all the commotion going on but I soon seen the weapons and heard the screams and since I was still not up to full power I felt helpless watching the others fall.
How is it having all them powers?
Awesome in some ways I can always be warm as long as there is something to burn but terrible if I let my anger take control.
What is yours, Maggie, and Rose’s powers for and what are they?
Our powers are to help us keep the Universe balanced and to protect the innocents.
As you know my power is fire I just have to want it and it shall be done. Maggie has the element of Earth she controls plants and animals through her elegant power of music, Rose she is our Water element she can make a tidal wave with a blink of her eyes and purify water with a slight touch.
Brandon, Ashton, and Berk are our protectors our warriors elite fighters and protectors.

Once again Thanks Lily for letting me do this interview. Your awesome and so is your character 🙂
Thank you this was a blast and please stay tuned I have centuries to catch you guys up on :}

Interview with Layla and Jared attending

ImageHi Layla.

Layla – Hi thanks for inviting me. I hope you don’t mind him being here. He wouldn’t let me do this without coming too.

Jared – I’m looking out for your interests.

Layla – Being nosey more like it.

Tell me about your character a little.

Layla – There’s not really much to tell. I like to think I’m smart and make good choices.

*Glances at Jared in the corner*

But sometimes it’s hard to know what’s the right thing and what’s right for you. I’m pretty independent too.

*Jared snorts a laugh from across the room and Layla gives him a warning look*

I am independent but that doesn’t mean it’s not nice to be taken care of sometimes. I guess I am also a little impatient and demanding sometimes.

Jared – A little impatient and demanding? Try infuriating and indecisive.

Layla – Whose interview is this? We agreed on the ride over. Observation only remember?

*Jared holds his hands up defensivly.*

What did you love most about Ollie and Jared?

Layla – Ollie is really sweet. He’s a great guy and a great friend too. I mean, he even knows how I take my coffee and my favourite breakfast.

Jared is… *looks over at him* Jared.

He’s intense and he gives me exactly what I need. He’s my reasoning and logic when I get a little crazy sometimes. Besides, look at him. He’s hot!

How did it feel when you first learned Ollie was in love with you?

*Layla gives Jared an awkward look.*

Layla – It was hard. I really liked him and he was a great friend. I was really worried we would ruin a friendship if I allowed it to go too far though.

How did it feel when Jared was jealous over yours and Ollie’s relationship?

Layla – Urgh. What a nightmare that was! He still does it and we’re miles away from him. He knows I love him and how much he means to me so I’m hoping that now we’re official, he’ll chill out a little.

*Muttering under her breath*

Though I doubt it.

How did it feel when Jared told you he loved you?

Layla – Like Christmas! I thought I would explode! I just couldn’t believe it because he’s well, him. But I think he made a good call falling for me.

*Layla winks at Jared who smiles back at her*

What did you think was the main reason Jared kept secrets from you at first?

Layla – I was totally convinced he was screwing around. But I’m glad I know the truth. The trust thing was a big issue for me, well, for us.

When you saw Jared’s sister in his kitchen what really came to your mind? – Spoiler

Layla – Oh god, I don’t even remember. I wanted to scream, cry and vomit all at once. I just remember an intense amount of pain. Like I’ve never felt before. I didn’t know then what I know now.

What was it like being in love with a millionaire? Especially since you was middle class?

Layla – I never think about it to be honest. I forget sometimes that he has all that money. It’s easier now that he’s not constantly giving me gifts. That got really old, really fast. I understand why he did it but I’m glad he’s found a new way to show me affection.

Why didn’t you like Jared buying you all them expensive Jewelry?

Layla – I just didn’t think it was nesecary. It also made me feel a little cheap.

Jared – You, Layla Jennings, are many things but cheap is not one of them.

*Layla gives Jared that warning look again.*

Jared – I know, I know…silent observation.

What was it like taking Ollie home for the holidays? – Spoiler

Layla – It was nice. I didn’t want him to be alone on Christmas and as his friend I felt like it was the right thing to do.

What hurt the most Ollie leaving for Utah or Jared leaving for Europe? – Spoiler

Layla – I can’t really answer that. They both hurt for different reasons and in different ways. All I know is it was hard saying goodbye.

Why did you decide to follow Jared to Europe? – Spoiler

Layla – I listened to my heart and my heart screamed Jared. There’s no real reason or ryhm to anything we do I guess. We have to go with our gut instinct.

Did you ever hear from Ollie after that? – Spoiler

*Layla looks at Jared who is watching her like a hawk, waiting for her answer*

Layla – Um. He never got in touch and I didn’t either.

*Jared seems to relax a little again*

What did Amy and Mel think when you choose Jared? – Spoiler

Layla – I have no idea. All I know is that they were great and so understanding. The seemed to just know what was going on with me and I guess they knew I needed a push to figure it out. Best friends are the ones that know you best, maybe even better than you know yourself

Thanks Layla and Jared for doing this interview.Congratulations on this wonderful book!
