Blurb –  Grace finds herself with a toxic friend and a brand new hobby
when she discovers meth. She had a promising future before Grayson
came into the picture. A wolf in sheep’s clothing he soon shows his
true colors and they are painted with black and blue. The drugs cause
more problems than they fix, but lost in the intoxicating world of
numbness she must find herself through abuse, addiction, and abortion.
Will she let the drugs take her out of the world, and be forever numb,
or will an unlikely love pull her out and make her feel again?

My Review:

Everyone goes througha rough patch in their life, right? This
is Grace’s story. You come close to her as it’s in first person and
you feel for her as she struggles. She was definitely a character you
came to love and care about, even if she really didn’t make the best
decisions. The writing style was definitely something I dove right
into as well as the story itself. Although it wasn’t the typical genre I read,
I loved it. 5/5 stars from me ❤

A police undercover investigator, along with a colleague of his, is assigned to transport a man to their headquarters for interrogation. The young man is accused for the crime of being in a revolutionary organization against the government and the status quo. The plan is simple; the two of them, accused and detective, should bond enough on their road trip to have the accused admitting his involvement in the resistance. But things aren’t always as they seem…

Wow, a book written in 1965!

This was the first crime fiction novel I ever read. I was delighted to have seen this one, after all those years, still at online bookstores, on wikipedia.org, goodreads.com etc etc etc. And I must admit to one thing; this one scarred my soul.

The author, Samarakis, at that time 46 winters of age, dealt with issues like power that comes with authority, totalitarianism, and gentle emotions. Don’t be afraid by the novel’s age; it still applies to our lives, now more than ever. The book’s flashbacks, along with the author’s unique narration style, grant us an amazing story, full of emotions and full of action.

Translated into 31 languages (first written in Greek), it was awarded the Grand Prix de Littérature Policière prize for best international crime novel in 1970.

If you ever get the chance, don’t miss this one…

Love and Loss! Love and Glory! Love and Nausea! “Raving Violet” has it all.

Bitek, Psitek, and Mektek technology, integrated in a single body.

Ten million princes.One emperor.

Science Fiction at its best! The story follows Khemri, a young prince in a futuristic universe. As all others of his clan, he too feels strong about replacing the emperor with himself. But then the whole world turns around…

An exciting novel, crafting a new order of things, a new world where no one is safe, where no one is free. Fate is prewritten for all, even for princes. Assassins come many, as Priests are, and the Mind that controls all living, transforms each andevery one.

A must for Sci-Fi lovers.

“Hidden Wings” – Cameo Renae

Let me first say that I was absolutely HONORED to be given an ARC of this book ❤ I loved “In My Dreams” and… It’s not like I’ve been electronically stalking the author *cough cough* noooo… Just being friendly ^_^

I’m a HUGE fan of Cameo Renae and I have to say….

Seventeen is a life changing age for Emma Wise.
As her family’s sole survivor in a car crash, she is left with a broken arm and a few scrapes and bruises. But these are only outward marks; inside, her heart is broken and the pieces scattered.

Whisked away to Alaska, to an aunt she’s never met, Emma starts over. Secrets unveil themselves and now…she doesn’t even know who or what she is.

A centuries old prophecy places Emma in the heart of danger. Creatures of horrifying and evil proportions are after her, and it will take Emma, her aunt, and six, gorgeously captivating Guardians to keep her safe. But, if she can survive until her eighteenth birthday… things will change.

This woman (Cameo) had me hooked the moment I found out she was writing another book. The cover drew me into wanting to know more as did the blurb. If you like Fantasy and Paranormal books then you will LOVE this one as well. Emma Wise is a character you can relate to. She’s a teenager and wants to be normal and somewhat “fit in” (not too much though. Not with Jeremy and Lia anyway). When she finds out her parents die in a car accident, her Aunt, who she had no idea even existed, was able to gain guardianship of her in a matter of TWO DAYS (strange, right?)! That’s not all that’s strange, Emma gets attacked in the airport BATHROOM (who knew bathrooms were so dangerous??)! Confused about everything that’s going on, she takes comfort when Kade, someone who comes to escort her all the way to Alaska. He makes her feel… I guess jittery and happier would be the best description of it, but when he’s not around, she’s sad again. I wanted to know more about the HOTNESS that is KADE! Even his name is sexy! Going through the book, you can’t help but want to keep turning pages!

The book is released in 3 DAYS, so get those one-click buttons READY!

All in all… ANOTHER BOOK THAT’S A MUST READ BY CAMEO! Who would want to miss out on this book?!?!  In My Dreams was a 5/5 stars for me… Hidden Wings is a 10/5 stars for me! I just know the next book will be even better!!!!!

I cannot thank Cameo enough for letting me read it before it was published ❤ P.S. Definitely need bookmarkers! People are CRAZY for them!!!!!!! Do everyone a favor and type as fast as those fingers can move!

When Sarah is disfigured by a fire saving the life of a child,
Devlin knows she has valor.

When he goes to her through shared dreams,
he knows he has to have her.

When she’s stalked by Vampire Hunters,
he knows he’ll do anything to save her…

Even if it is Forbidden

This is book one in THE HUNTED Series. Book two, ONCE BITTEN will be released later in July. ONCE FORBIDDEN contains spanking

My Review

Oh what can I say about this book? I loved it and how it went together. I love how Sarah was a hero but she never thought so. Which I don’t like how she kept doubting everything after the heroic accident. In my opinion she was a hero by all means. The man of her dreams Devlin was oh wow…. lol! He believed in here the whole entire time even before everything happened and after everything after. Devlin never seen what was on the outside. I think I have found my new book boyfriend or at least one. So sweet so dominant.

I give definite 5 stars. Can’t wait to read the next “The Haunted Series” Once Bitten”

“The Eslites by CM Doporto Book Review

Sixteen year old, Miranda Mays, discovers she is a superior donor for the alien race known as the Eslites, who have come to earth demanding humans to help save their race from extinction. Will she be the one to help them or will their quest continue?

My Review:

I really enjoyed the book for it to be a short story! I usually don’t care to much about short stories. The way CM Doporto covered the story line had my attention from the beginning. Then the way it ended had me wanting more! I personally can’t wait to read the next book.

The main character Maranda Mates is very strong will. She stands up to an evil as bad as Satan, Lucifer, the devil himself. Up close and personal ! But the main thing Maranda believes is that “Love” can conquer all things!!!

Book Review, “The Closing”

Where_to_ buy_http://www.amazon.com/The-Closing-Stella-K/

I’ve read this book while on my hundredth edit of my own book, tired, exhausted, so it was a good side story, though I’m not that much into romance, love stories, crime, etc etc etc.

One could comment; the plot is quite cliché. A girl, lawyer, working somewhere between sixty and eighty hours per week, with no time for flirt, lovers or pets, falls accidentally in love with a guy. Him, Russian, impressive, and way into the mafia, has a genuine interest in her; he too falls for her at first sight, though he doesn’t know it, at first. Eventually, the storyline follows their common route, as the twists of fate have their lives hanging by a thread…

The author portrays characters that are deeper than I anticipated, and with much more details than most romance stories I used to read—back in my teens, a long time ago… Which is, let me add, very attractive for the reader. Its pace is not quick at all, but fast enough to get your attention. As for the book’s vocabulary, well, English is not my first language, but I had no trouble with it.

I enjoyed this book, and even though I was tempted to set it aside at some points due to not being all epic and fantasy, I am sure glad I didn’t.

I do recommend it, even to guys…
